News: Munga Answers “Bounty Diss Tweets”
The warlord Bounty Killer has once again stepped forward to defend his legacy. The ‘Grung Gaad’ appears to be on the warpath after members of his Alliance team were said to be disrespected by artiste Munga Honorable in his latest song titled, Haffi Dead.
In his song, Munga issues a challenge to the Alliance, Gaza and JOP that he is willing and ready to contest them in a lyrical showdown.
In his usual militant mood, Bounty Killer tweeted:
“Munga u are no more honorable! Ur ending is inevitable! From u dissed Alliance, u dissed me as well so anything a anything. U who ran from Debra Sprat 08 and flopped ur career …”
Hours after, Munga took to Twitter and stated: “Bounty Killer u nor nuh man cyaan tek MUNGA HONORABLE HONOR. Hotfoot”
When contacted, a source close to Munga told THE STAR that the song was not aimed at Bounty Killer.
“Munga never dis Bounty Killer, Killer just take up sumting whe nuh really concern him. A Munga a pay him own rent and light bill, so we nuh run dem disrespect joke deh,” the source said.
He continued that Munga respects Bounty Killer but pointed out that Bounty Killer’s tweets were uncalled for.
“As far as me know, Munga has a lot of respect for Killa, but Munga is not a person whe nobody can disrespect. From a man tweet him, him a go answer! Him a di Gangsta Ras.”

Teetimus Da Producer A.k.a. Rockstar Makes Vybz Kartel Pop In A “U.F.O. MEDZ!”

For Vybz Kartel, shying away from a track so forward thinking for the Pop genre was not an option. The artist recorded his vocals in Jamaica prior to incarceration and expressed that the Pop / Electronica sound will allow him to gain fans of a wider background. “Teetimus approached me with this track and the result is great. I stayed true to Dancehall while working with a new genre. Fans are going to appreciate it.”
Already available on i Tunes, the track has gained a lot of traction with sites such as Chromaticmag.com, Spotlightnow.com and Yardhype.com. The preview, available on YouTube, is one of the most searched, marking another sign that the single is on deck to being a hit.
No stranger to success, Teetimus the Rockstar earned several accolades as the co-producer of Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley’s 2012 hit song “Affairs of the Heart,” Trey Songz “Ladies Gone Wild” and Mr. Vegas “Bruk It Dung,” and is in negotiations to produce a track for a very prominent and Grammy award winning female rapper.

Shaggy And Friends Put Off: Charity Show Gets Revamp
The popular Shaggy and Friends charity event, which
has raised over JA $90 million in aid of the Bustamante Hospital For
Children, will not be staged for a second time this year.
The concert, hosted annually by Grammy-winning Jamaican entertainer, Shaggy and his Make a Difference foundation was due to stage its fourth edition late this year, featuring an all-Jamaican lineup in honor of Jamaica’s 50th independence anniversary. However, Shaggy and Friends has will now be held every other year after a decision was made to revamp the event’s setup.
Shaggy’s manager and Solid Agency head, Sharon Burke confirmed the singer’s decision to hold his charitable initiative bi-annually, but did not divulge additional details.
Shaggy and Friends was first staged in December 2009, eight years after Shaggy first partnered with the Bustamante Hospital for Children. That initial staging featured high-profile entertainers such as Sean Paul, Etana, Marcia Griffiths and American R&B singer, Macy Gray. The first edition raised over JA$27 million for the hospital.
The second installment of Shaggy and Friends took place on January 2011, where Bounty Killer, Cham, Machel Montano, Tarrus Riley and Boyz II Men all performed. That year, the event reeled in over JA$30 million.
The third edition of Shaggy and Friends took place on January 7 of this year after being moved back a week due to Jamaica’s general elections. The event featured Romain Virgo, Maxi Priest, Tami Chynn and American rap sensation, Eve who was accompanied by award-winning dancer,Mystic Davis during her set.
Despite continuous on-stage demands by hip-hop/soul legend, Lauryn Hill during her set, this year’s edition of Shaggy and Friends reeled in JA$32 million. Some of the money raised through Shaggy’s event has been donated towards new equipment as well as the building of a cardiac ward for the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
